Family for the Holidays by Linda Lattimer

Family for the Holidays by Linda Lattimer
Publisher: Lyrical Press
Genre: Holiday Romance

Summary:
The ring looked familiar, very much like one Vicky had admired before. She'd seen it only through glass, but now it was held out before her…and a man was on bended knee. Hesitation can kill the greatest of moods, and perhaps even a marriage proposal. Josh stood, heart hanging in the balance, waiting for Vicky to accept his ring, or deny him again.

One man's question could give them both the gift of love and family for the holidays.

My Review: Victoria Williams had three kids and a widowed mother to think about, and a dog that needed her attention. Not to mention a full-time job. She didn't have time for cancer! On the way home from the doctor's office she stopped at the store and ended up plastering a dozen eggs on the front of a man's shirt. She would be starting chemo treatments the next day and had a special treat in mind for her kids that night. It so happened that she had tiny veins and the female nurse couldn't find a good vein to start for her chemo, so a male nurse was called in. Wouldn't you know, it would have to be the owner of the shirt with eggs on it.

Josh Miller worked at the cancer treatment center and had been thinking about Victoria ever since she plastered eggs all over the front of his shirt. Denise, Victoria's mother, made a surprise visit and caught Josh and Victoria in a private moment. From the time she laid eyes on her daughter she knew Victoria had cancer and demanded to know what Josh's intentions were. Once she got to know Josh, Denise hoped that her daughter would let him into her heart. Josh spent his free time playing with Vickie's son and lookng after her. The family formed a bond but, Vickie still remembered how her ex had deserted her and the kids and couldn't get that hurt feel to become a memory.

Will Vickie let Josh into her heart? Will her family be a complete family again? And what about the cancer, will the treatments help her? Linda Lattimer writes a heart wrenching romance.
