Sari: Hybrids Book One by Rose Middleton
Publisher: Linden Bay Romance
Genre: Erotic Paranormal

Summary: Professor Kai Harrison is shocked when he finds out his assistant, Sari Jones has a microchip in her arm. He'd been testing the tracking device he intended to use to find the elusive black jaguars, which Sari is in no hurry to explain about. Sari like Kai has a hidden agenda for joining forces with Kai. While Kai was searching for his sister who'd gone missing on the same type of search, Sari was looking for the Facility, an underground lab where a crazy scientist had turned her into a hybrid. She'd promised the other Failures that she'd come back for them. Now, as Kai and Sari search in the jungle their passions ignite and soon becomes obvious that they're running out of time to help both Rebecca and the other Failures.
My Review: As the rage for shapeshifters stories has grown, Ms. Middleton has provided us
with a very fast paced story in Sari: Hybrids Book One. I was immediately drawn to the lushness of Ms. Middleton's characters. Sari is a very spunky heroine and Kai is everything a woman could ask for; gentle and caring. The plot was quick as Sari and Kai fight to find the truth behind his sister's disappearance and Sari's goal of freeing her friends. While it kept the pages turning, it seemed to me the focus of the story revolved more around their mission and there wasn't as much focus on the relationship building between them. It was as if their budding relationship took a backseat to the rest of the story. I was hoping for more focus on their relationship and was surprised at the ease they overcame the obstacles in their path. All in all was a decent story.Rated three and half Delightful Divas by Dakota!
