When her brother sees the ghost of their mother and a prophecy is given via two tarot cards, The Hierophant and Seven of Swords, he decides to sell the pub. The decision about what path to take in her life is taken out of her hands.
Will the two lovers find heaven on Earth in each other’s arms or will their paths take divergent courses?
My Review: I was utterly disappointed with J.J. Keller’s Dark Shadows. I first chose to read this novel because of the cover actually. It is beautiful. The concept of the story is good too, however the author managed to make it inconceivably boring. Several phrases are used over and over, I mean, OK already. She smells like orange blossoms, I get it. The sex scenes are redundant as well and not at all arousing. The characters are underdeveloped even for a 69 page novella and the entire story was two dimensional.
