Humbling Harry by Beltedone

My Review: There‘s no question but that there’s a story in Humbling Harry, a quite absolute story of power exchange with extreme male humiliation and feminine perfection. However it is well hidden and thin at times which made Humbling Harry an exciting read at times but bothersome at other times. The basic principle the author relies on is the humbler, a device made to clamp down on a male’s genitals when they are pulled back between his legs thereby making it impossible for him to stand without ripping his balls off. Once humbled by his wife Colleen, the cheater and embezzler Harry is treated like an animal with maximum humiliation and pain.
After a certain level of training in their home, Colleen takes Harry to a local female veterinarian, Rita, who turns out to be the vindictive character of the story seeming dedicated to the utter destruction or subjugation of the entire male sex into helpless house pets due to the rape and murder of her daughter by a man. What Rita puts Harry through is in a word mind blowing, but then the story retreats and slows as Harry is taken to a strange lesbian beauty parlor where I expected some feminization to go on, but indeed there was little if any of that proven method of male humiliation, which both surprised and puzzled me.
Harry becomes almost adjusted to the animal conditions under which he lives when one day by happenstance a female UPS driver makes a delivery to this home and Harry makes his big mistake. He pleads with the driver to rescue him, but she’s far more interested in Colleen’s expensive house and why he is nude and humbled. She invites her friends over for a party, which results in Harry’s anus receiving a lot of abuse, and the UPS driver’s boyfriend getting humbled too.
From here the story gets surreal, as for attempting to escape Harry, Cliff, the UPS driver’s boyfriend, and Tom, Rita’s husband, get sent off to this hellish kennel where the horrors to male doggies go beyond belief. Believe it or not it was not this aspect of this story which annoyed me. The most annoying aspect was a running series of for lack of another word ‘commercials’ for and about the humbler product and how to dominate males with it. It almost seemed to me as if the author were purporting the humbler as a real product to be sold on TV by a pitchman, or woman in this case obviously. The line of reason is crossed when Star Trek technology is purportedly used to form nano-probes into a butt plug in a male’s ass. I got a good laugh out of that one. The last complaint I had was with the author’s attempts in the story and especially in the epilogue to make it seem like this was happening all over. Innocent men were being humbled by their wives simply because they could, or as the author suggests, because they could rape and spread disease to women. Since when does our society imprison people for what they could do? It’s a scary thought.
Bottom line? If you’re a hardcore femdom enthusiast, male or female, you’ll probably like Humbling Harry, but if you’re looking for erotica or even ‘normal’ BDSM, did I say normal, stay away from this book.
Rating: I’ve given some books one Delightful Diva, but in those cases the writing was poor or the story structure or plot was defective, and despite the annoyances there is a plot to this story. I settled on giving Humbling Harry two Delightful Divas.
