My Review: I've read many a book by Claire Thompson and she wasn't kidding when she said she was going back to her romantic roots with this one. It was outstanding from the first page all the way to the HEA. Elizabeth is shocked and confused when she awakens to find out that she's been sold to Cole at a slave auction. Cole soon realizes that Elizabeth has no idea what has occurred and knows nothing about the lifestyle, but he sees within her a woman that coul
d possibly meet his needs in a submissive. The reader will follow their journey through Elizabeth learning about her own needs, learning about what Cole is looking for in love, through revenge and blackmail plots. And the sex scenes are exquisite in both detail and passion covering everything from sensual love scenes to heavier BDSM.
For those of you who haven't read a BDSM story this is a great place to start and for those readers already initiated in to this hot, steamy and wickedly fun genre you definitely won't be disappointed either. Cole is truly a magnificent Dominant character, both alpha and understanding. Elizabeth is no wimpy female submissive either; her underlying strength is impressive and matched perfectly to Cole's gentle control. I'd love to encounter Cole and Elizabeth as returning characters in another book down the road. This is an excellent book that'll leave you melting in your chair and wanting more. If you're looking for an alpha male with a tender side and a woman with strength who chooses to submit to him this is the book for you.
