I Met a Man by Shabbu
Publisher: eXcessica
Genre: M/M, erotica

Summary: An ailing young American novelist, Clifford, retreats to a small villa on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus to finish his last novel in peace and seclusion before he dies. There he meets a man, Erol, at the Tree of Idleness café in the Bellapais mountain village square, who struggles with Clifford to help him live fully before he dies.
My Review: I Met a Man by Shabbu was an incredibly deep story. Certainly, an erotica that will leave you breathing hard but the story was woven together with emotion, anticipation and soul. The writing team, Shabbu, artfully takes the reader to a foreign country and culture. Dabbled along the way, literary history is incorporated.

Each character’s personality comes to life in this book. Their strength and weakness all combined to make them real. Even the descriptions of the seedier ways of life in this exotic location are well crafted.
Instead of focusing on the imminent demise of Clifford, the true story was about love. A love that wasn’t expected nor wanted but there for the duration. In addition, we are treated to plenty of intense sex and intimacies. Shabbu kept each scene sensual and erotic. The descriptions are well done and never repetitive.
I so enjoy the cadence and style of Shabbu, I look forward to reading further work. I think any reader will enjoy the time they spend reading this wonderful book!
