Sunday's Child, The Wise Guy by Lex Valentine

Sunday's Child, The Wise Guy by Lex Valentine
Publisher: Noble Romance
Genre: Erotic Paranormal

Summary:
Randall Wise is the quintessential good guy. However, all of his friends are married and he's still single. Rand is positive that good guys finish last at love and decides he needs to change if he's ever going to find a woman of his own.

Brenna Thorne is a clutzy but cute would-be witch who moves in next door to Rand. Men always think of Brenna like a sister. They never see her as girlfriend or mate material. Brenna longs for a man of her own who sees her sexy side and all the love she has to give.

A little magic from Rand's godparents, a familiar who isn't a familiar, and a host of well-meaning but surprising friends help Rand and Brenna see that all you need to find your mate is a heart that is open to love.

My Review: I loved this novella. From the beginning of the story Rand wrapped himself around me. I could totally relate to his ‘nice guys always finish last’. As a nice girl, I watched many of my friends go out on dates while I was the one who the guys called for tutoring because I was the nice girl.

As a heroine, Brenna is lovable as she tries, just like Rand, to be something she’s not, all in the name of love or lust, whichever way you want to look at it. This story definitely had me hitting the arrow button at a rapid pace. I couldn’t read fast enough!

With a magical theme, this story definitely appeased my appetite for fantasy and it was very well written. The love scenes were so hot, I’m surprised my husband didn’t have to hose me down to cool me off. Kudos, Ms. Valentine, for creating such a scorching but entertaining read. I give you 5 Delightful Divas and my Recommended Read for August!
