Jasmine's Urban Cowboys by Laura Ashton
Publisher: Siren-Bookstrand, Inc.
Genre: Erotic Western Menage, M/F/M

Summary: After a nightmare marriage and a bitter divorce, Jasmine is ready to celebrate big time. Jaz meets Ted and Gabe, two deliciously attractive, available men.
Having spent a celibate year waiting for her divorce, waking up in the arms of a gorgeous hunk after a night of hot sex was at the top of Jaz's list. Either of these dreamboats would be wonderful, but which one? When she has trouble deciding, Jaz makes the decision that if either of them would be good, then both of them would be twice as good!
With that thought burning into her psyche, Jaz returns determined to seduce not one, but both of the ready and willing studs. What follows is a sexy, sometimes humorous story where the things that happen that night entwine all their lives, changing them forever.
My Review: I’m not sure how I feel about the story to tell you the truth. It’s not that I didn’t like it, or that the characters and sex weren’t intriguing, it just left me scratching my head really.
I love stories where the girl gets the guy or vice versa, but this time around, it was too fairy tale-ish. I know Jaz goes through a horrid divorce and now she feels liberated, which is a yay moment for me; because I have been where she is and I know how good those papers feel when you hold them in your hand. Afterwards, though, I lost all of my ability to believe in this story.
How many of us can say that our friends have set us up with two really hot guys who desperately want to be with us sexually? Not only that, but they want to cook for us…make breakfast for us the next morning? How about buying bouquet after bouquet of flowers? Not me and I’m pretty sure not very many other women.
Jaz is treated to gifts of grandeur and although she turns down a very expensive gift, these
two men stay with her, asking her over and over to just love them…both of them. I just couldn’t get past their overwhelming feelings of “love,” when to me it seemed more like lust.
With all of that said, I did like the story. I love Brenda, Jaz’s friend, the most. Her life gave the book its grounding reality which it so desperately needed. I loved Camilla, she was a kind lady who went above and beyond as a grandmother and had little kinky secrets of her own.
I have to say even though the story seemed too good to be true; Jaz does keep her head on her shoulders. Her inner voice tells her to stop and take a look at the big picture, which she does occasionally. She even calls out one of her suitors because she thought he was paying her off. Though she partially listens to her inner self, she still falls for both of them and decides that maybe both are right for her.
Jasmine’s Urban Cowboys, though unbelievable at times, is still a great get away from all of your troubles. Just beware reader, this story is too good to be true! But you will love it all the same!
