Summary: For 15 years, Kristian Taylor has lived like a hermit. After letting the love of his life walk away, he's languished in apathy and inaction. Now, a chance meeting in the grocery store will force him to face his old demons. Will apathy take over again, or will Kristian allow himself to be free?

Melissa's Review: Apathy by Scarlet Blackwell is a very short novella at only twenty five pages, but it is packed with such intense emotions. This book shows us that we can’t help who we fall in love with, and sometimes, you just have to let yourself love, and not care what others think.

Apathy is written from Kristian’s perspective in third person POV. I learned very quickly that Kristian has wallowed in his own self-pity for far too long. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering him on, and hoping that he finally understood what he must do to be happy.

If you are looking for a quick read that will leave you with a lot to think about, as well as knocked breathless by intense emotions, then I recommend you pick up a copy of Apathy by Scarlet Blackwell.
