Summary: For 15 years, Kristian Taylor has lived like a hermit. After letting the love of his life walk away, he's languished in apathy and inaction. Now, a chance meeting in the grocery store will force him to face his old demons. Will apathy take over again, or will Kristian allow himself to be free?
Melissa's Review: Apathy by Scarlet Blackwell is a very short novella at only twenty five pages, but it is packed with such intense emotions. This book shows us that we can’t help w
ho we fall in love with, and sometimes, you just have to let yourself love, and not care what others think.
Apathy is written from Kristian’s perspective in third person POV. I learned very quickly that Kristian has wallowed in his own self-pity for far too long. I was on the edge of my seat, cheering him on, and hoping that he finally understood what he must do to be happy.
If you are looking for a quick read that will leave you with a lot to think about, as well as knocked breathless by intense emotions, then I recommend you pick up a copy of Apathy by Scarlet Blackwell.
