Warrior’s Cross by Madeleine Urban & Abigail Roux
Publisher: Dreamspinner Press
Genre: GLBT, M/M, Suspense

Summary: Cameron Jacobs is an open book. He considers himself a common waiter with normal friends, boring hobbies, harmless dogs, and nothing even resembling a secret... except a crush on a tall, dark, devastatingly handsome man who dines alone at his restaurant on Tuesday nights. All it takes is one passionate night with Julian Cross to turn Cameron’s world on its head.
Julian's love and devotion are all Cameron could have hoped for and more. But when his ordinary life meets and clashes with Julian's extraordinary lifestyle, Cameron discovers that trust and fear can go hand in hand, and love is just a step away from danger.
My Review: Warrior’s Cross by Madeleine Urban and Abigail Roux is a wonderful edge of your seat book. The plot flowed smoothly, leaving you firmly ensconced in your seat while we took one twist and turn after another, always wondering what would happen next. I love it when you read a book and later, when you recall a portion of it, you can’t remember if it was a book or if you were watching it on television. In other words, the imagery and scene descriptions were spot on. This is not to say that there was a ton of exposition, but merely that the writing
was superb and you felt as if you were there with the characters. Warrior’s Cross flowed from beginning to end at an excellent pace.
I was captivated by all the characters in the book. The main characters, Julian and Cameron, were well thought out and genuine. I enjoyed how the authors maintained the characters’ differences throughout the book and were able to allow them a believable and heartfelt happily ever after. The secondary characters weren’t ignored either. I enjoyed their contributions to Julian and Cameron’s story immensely. I don’t know if Ms. Urban and Ms. Roux are contemplating a series with this book, but I truly hope I get to hear more about the secondary character, Preston. Trust me, when you read this story you’ll want to know more about him too.
If you haven’t read anything my Ms. Urban or Ms. Roux, I urge you to give this one a try. I doubt it will be your last, I know it won’t be mine.
