Summary: Abandoned by her best friend at the beginning of a well needed vacation in Las Vegas, Blue Gerard hopes that sexy stranger Landen Avanti can help salvage her trip and turn it into a sensual escapade of new experiences.
Blue puts aside her good-girl sensibilities and dives into the bad-girl pleasures Landen offers. Landen is more than willing to pleasure the delectable Blue and turn a week of business into one of erotic fun. He willingly sheds his straight-laced persona and allows his amorous side full rein.
They both know that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but, when their week of passionate exploration comes to an end will they be able to walk away?
Kathy’s Review: This is a very temptation filled story, but it’s also a wonderful romance. With It’s Love Baby, Josie St. Marie has given readers a story that takes us on a voyage of sensuality, and surprisingly, fun. Blue Gerard is unique, loveable and sweet and she’s going to take everything she can get during her time in Vegas. She’s an awesome character and her vitality and lust for life allows us to really get to know her. I love her friendliness and I envy her ability to fit in wherever she is. I also really enjoyed her reactions to Landen; her hot airport guy that turned out to be her hot Vegas experience.
Landen is sexy in so many ways; he’s definitely HOT, but he’s down-to-earth as well as confident. He’s a very good friend and a sweetly protective big brother. He’s also the man who, when he meets Blue, loses much of his calm and collected demeanor, which is actually a lot of fun! And then there are the friends; they’re too vibrant to be left in the background, which they really have no intention of doing anyway.
The relationship between Blue and Landen is sizzling and tender; it’s outrageous, but romantic; above all it’s the heart and soul of this touching romance. We are also treated to some interesting supporting characters that add their own personalities to the festivities. I enjoyed It’s Love Baby more than I had thought I would, and I had fairly high expectations after reading the summary. And Josie St. Marie has joined my list of authors whose books I will be looking for.

There was only one discordant note for me. Blue came early to Las Vegas to spend some time together with her best friend Colin and it was his abandonment that allowed Blue and Landen meet up. Which I didn’t mind at all! What struck a bit of a sour note was the working behind Colin’s disappearance. I am not going to go into specifics, but I found this part of the story the hardest to swallow, or perhaps the weakest. It may be that it was supposed to ring false, I don’t know. It could just be that my strong feelings for those involved affected my impression of the genuineness… no, that’s not what I mean. I guess what I’m trying to say is that I found this section to be the shakiest part of the story. In some ways it felt that Ms. St. Marie really didn’t have an explanation early on and the reason came out of the blue. This sounds rather harsh and that’s not my intention. It’s just that I couldn’t really feel that this was consistent with the rest of the story.
And now that I’ve blundered, I will say that, even with this negative element, that my rating of 4 Divas says a lot to my overall liking for Josie St. Marie’s It’s Love Baby.
Rated 4 Delightful Divas by Kathy!
