Acquitas I: Betrayal by A.C. Mason

Aequitas I: Betrayal by A.C. Mason
Publisher: Lyrical Press
Genre:Paranormal, Thriller

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary: The Aequitas, part angel and demon, have kept the balance between the forces of good and evil -- until now.

When Etienne Grant is kidnapped and transformed into an Aequitas, marriage to Auria is the only thing that will save his soul.

Auria is a beautiful but efficient Aequitas, a General who wants nothing to do with love. A former lover has plans to prevent any hope of happiness with her new husband, and after murdering his own best friend and forcing Auria to join his rebellion, the balance between good and evil spirals out of control.

Can Etienne's tenderness melt Auria's cold heart and heal the pain of their secret pasts? Their very survival depends on it.

Deb’s Review: Aequitas I: Betrayal became an addiction for this reviewer. Once I started, I could not put it down.

A.C Mason has taken us to another world with this book; a world full of passions as well as danger and even intrigue. The General, aka Auria, and Etienne are in for one huge battle; one on the personal level and one to right a wrong.

Will they win their fight or will sides change? I, for one, was shocked at the outcome. There were a few surprises in this book along the way. All I can suggest is to pay attention.*grin*

Auria’s character is one I found easy to connect to as I read her story. She is a strong force in this book. I could not get pass the fact that I kept saying to myself why did she not stay with Deimos? I also want to know, A.C., why make Etienne who he is? Is he a bad guy or…maybe he isn’t? I know there is more and cannot wait to see this series to the end. If book two is anything like book one, then we are in for a treat.

Aequitas I: Betrayal is an exciting edge of your seat type of story. It will have you thinking one thing one moment only to have you questioning your earlier thoughts. A.C Mason has done it again! Catching her reader’s attention, leaving them wanting more.
