Summary: Having decided to take a break from the road, shapeshifter Ethan is living the quiet life in a dog refuge. He has no intention of allowing himself to be adopted, but when handsome Luke visits the refuge, seeking to take home a rescue dog, and chooses Ethan, the prospect suddenly seems far more attractive.
Luke's loneliness after dumping his abusive boyfriend has now been banished by the comforting presence of his beautiful new dog. But when Luke's ex, bent on revenge, launches an attack on his life, Luke soon finds out that he got more than he bargained for when he adopted Jet.
Kathy’s Review: I adore shape shifter stories, and ones that are this sweet and sexy are more than just enjoyable. Wanna be Your Dog by Glyn Soitiño begins as quite lighthearted and easy-going. But first impressions can be erroneous.
I love Ethan; he’s satisfied, for the most part, living a dog’s life. We know that he left his family home some time before, but not what precipitated it. Obviously, it was serious enough that he took to the road as his inner dog. But it’s rather cute, too; certainly waiting for the right person to come to the refuge was an okay life for him. It did lead me to wonder just what had happened that living as a dog in a shelter was an improvement. Until, of course, Ethan learns that his shelter days are coming to an end.

Luke really needed someone to love, and someone that would love him unconditionally. Obviously Luke and Ethan were fated to meet. Watching as the man and his ‘dog’ got to know one another was sweet, but it soon became apparent to Ethan that he wanted more than just to be Luke’s dog; his feelings were growing into an attachment that he couldn’t deny. How do you go about telling the man you’re coming to love that his dog loves him? Uh, not easily.
Glyn Soitiño is a new-to-me author, but with Wanna Be Your Dog, I’m on the search for more of her books. If they’re all as sweet, yet with a serious undertone as is this book, then I’m definitely going to enjoy the search.
