The Katzman’s Mate is my first futuristic book and I LOVED it. Chellak is the alpha and Demyan is a slave. Chellak is instantly drawn to Demyan who has been badly mistreated. Seeing his story unfold is reason enough to read The Katzman’s Mate. Another interesting character in the story is Sorina, another slave, who has risked a lot to watch out for Demyan.

Chellak and Demyan lead us on emotional ups and downs throughout the book. Luckily Chellak’s brother and his mate are there to help them. Demyan is unable to talk and Chellak asks his brother’s mate, Yerik to teach Demyan how to read and write. The Katzman’s Mate also shows us how there must be communication with the one you love or it leads to misunderstandings and complications guaranteed to make your head spin.

Ms. Glenn does a wonderful job as an author of drawing the reader into the world she creates in The Katzman’s Mate. In addition, Ms. Glenn always has such unique and intriguing characters and the characters in The Katzman’s Mate are no different. Ms. Glenn has also incorporated a few surprises for the reader that speaking from personal experience, you’re definitely going to enjoy. I hope that Ms. Glenn decides to write about Caprian and Yerik sometime in the future. I would love to read about them.
