Mating Games is the second book in the Delta Wolf Series and I absolutely fell in love with Dobry, Sebastian, and Alastar. This compelling, well-written, fast-paced story will have you sitting on the edge of your seat with the turn of every page. I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next and ended up reading the entire story in one sitting.

Dobry is so adorable that you can’t help but want to protect him from Alpha Rodrick who is as evil as they come. It was extremely easy to hate the villain in this story. The relationship that developed between Dobry, Sebastian and Alastar was both refreshing and eye opening. Yes, they were brought together by fate, but Ms. Flynn and Ms. Glenn does a wonderful job of explaining throughout the story that in addition to fate, there must be trust, communication, and a willing to compromise in order for a relationship to work.

Although Mating Games has a paranormal element in that it entails a human, werewolf and vampire, it’s wonderful to see how Ms. Glenn and Ms. Flynn stress the importance of accepting people for who they are and not for what others in their species have done in the past. Forgiveness and acceptance of oneself and others is a major theme throughout Mating Games. Dobry may have been small and abused, but he possessed a courage like non-other, which is part of the reason he survived and escaped the evil hands of Alpha Rodrick. You can’t help but root for the underdog.

The sexual tension between Dobry, Sebastian and Alastar was scorching hot, yet in some ways, very endearing. There were times that I wanted to weep for everything they had to endure to find a Happily Ever After. However, there were other times that I was inspired and very proud of how each of the characters grew as an individual and as a couple throughout the story, which only increased the depth of each character and the plot of the story. Bravo, Ms. Glenn and Ms. Flynn!

If you’re looking for a heartfelt story where the characters will make you weep and laugh with the turn of every page and set your soul on fire from the intensity of their love and compassion for one another, then Mating Games by Joyee Flynn and Stormy Glenn is definitely the book to read. I can’t wait to see what will happen in the next installment of the Delta Wolf Series.
