Never Tease a Wolf by L.A. Day

Never Tease a Wolf by L.A. Day
Publisher: Ellora’s Cave
Genre: Paranormal, Contemporary Romance

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary:

A harem outfit and a flogger? Sounds like a party. That’s why Jenny chose them as the key ingredients in her plan of seduction. For two years she has worked for Damianos Alexander, but tonight at the costume party she’s determined to become more than his secretary. Tonight, she’ll take that sexy male animal home—to her bed.

Damianos always gets what he wants, and he wants Jenny. She’s half naked, her body undulating in the movements of an ancient dance. Tempting every man in the room, including him. Too bad she doesn’t realize she’s tempting a wolf. Once she unleashes his feral side, there is no turning back.

Publisher’s Note: This story was previously published elsewhere under the title Dancing for the Wolf.

Jae’s Review:

I just couldn’t resist reading Never Tease a Wolf by L.A. Day after reading the summary. It sounded so intriguing and sexy. I really enjoyed this snippet of Jenny and Damianos’s life.

While this was a short story at 48 pages, the character development didn’t have time to take off and in the end Never Tease a Wolf had more of an unfinished feel to it rather than that of a short story. I wasn’t pulled into these characters lives for more than just an external viewing of the scenes that were presented, so I never developed a passion for Jenny or Damianos or rooted for their relationship to succeed.

However, the sexual and sensual scenes were dynamic. L.A. Day certainly has a way with a passionate scene. This is the first L.A. Day book that I’ve read, and I’m very interested to read something longer by this author. It may have been the brevity of this story that is throwing me off. With more time for character development, I’m sure I’d be brought into the story with the characters, and with scenes like the ones in Never Tease a Wolf that alone would mostly likely make it a home run.

Rated 3 Delightful Divas by Jae!
