Summary:

Rojan Ja'Dar is a rogue, a pirate that buys and sells cargo for a living. He is his own man, skirting the edge of the law and answering to no one. Arriving on a particular planet, he goes to drop off cargo and discovers a human pet being sold at an auction house. Intrigued, Rojan breaks all his rules and buys the human as his pet. It isn't until after he purchases the human that Rojan discovers he just bought his mate.

Claiming Tyion is not as easy as buying him. Not understanding the danger he is in, Tyion fights his situation as a highly prized and sought after pet in Rojan's world. Rojan has to convince Tyion that being his mate is not as bad as being a pet, even if they have to pretend to the rest of the world that Tyion is just a possession. That is hard to do when someone is after Tyion, someone not from Earth.

Donna’s Review:

I enjoyed reading Stormy Glenn’s new release Slave Auction.

When I saw that the genre listing for Slave Auction included Werewolves, Sci-Fi, M/M, Paranormal and Erotic Romance, I was intrigued to see how an author could pull all that together in a mere 180 pages. Stormy Glenn manages to do a great job in bringing all these genres together plus she brings interesting characters and a decent plot into the mix in this engaging and fun loving story.

In this time and space, aliens don’t think very much of the human race. Humans are considered to be an inferior race, not good for anything beyond being slaves and offering entertainment, and most of the universe believes humans don’t have the mental capacity to ever be an advanced race. Since that is the mindset Rojan has always known, he is in for a surprise when he realizes his new human pet, Tyion, is his mate.

Tyion was abducted by aliens from his home in Seattle and taken across space to a slave auction, which is where Rojan becomes aware of him, buys him, and takes him to his ship. Tyion is quite surprised to have been abducted by aliens and is seriously frightened by the size and strength of Rojan, as well as the other men on the ship.

The scene where the poor alien doctor attempts to examine Tyion and all Tyion can think about are the awful Earth stories of alien torture, is not to be missed. The heat at the end of the scene is noteworthy, too, but the scene with the doctor is really funny.

Despite huge muscles, fangs, tail and a ferocious temper when upset or jealous, Rojan is a very civilized pirate. Bit by bit he reassures Tyion and eases his fears. As Rojan grows to care more deeply for Tyion, Tyion becomes braver and surer about what he really wants.

The sexual encounters between Rojan and Tyion are really hot M/M scenes. There is a bit of dominance and a whole lot of feeling good in these pages. My only disappointment with the story is that I want more. This seems like a great introduction, but I want to know more about these characters as well as the supporting characters who I’m sure will be the stars in the next book in this series.

All in all, Slave Auction by Stormy Glenn is 180 pages of crazy fun.
