The Sheriff by Eryn Blackwell
Publisher: Ellora's Cave
Genre: Contemporary, Erotic Romance, Western/Cowboys

Review Copy Received from Publisher

Summary:

Lorella Constonce runs a boarding house in 1887, Giddings, Texas, not a brothel. If she ran the latter, she might know how to entice the sexy Sheriff Jefferies to more than just her dinner table. The need to hide something from him doesn't help her cause.

Treydon Jeffries has a dead body in town and he suspects Lorella knows more than she's telling. Treydon's determined to discover her secrets, even if he has to seduce them out of her. With as many fantasies as he's had about Lorella, he wouldn't mind taking charge and finally putting her where she belongs—in his bed.

Shelly's Review:

The Sheriff is quite a sensual read. Eryn Blackwell minimizes her words, but packs a lot into this story.

The sheriff wants Lorella, the woman who runs the boarding house, but hasn't approached her in the year that she's been in Giddings, Texas. During his investigation into a murder, he sets out to seduce Lorella in order to see what she knows.

As things escalate, Sheriff Treydon makes it clear that he doesn't share. The sex is intimate and sensual and Treydon can be a little demanding, which adds to the erotic nature.

I wasn't quite sure of this one since I thought it was a little short, but I'm quite impressed with all that came across in so few words. The Sheriff by Eryn Blackwellis an enjoyable read with a cute ending.

Rated 4 1/2 Delightful Divas by Shelly!
